Course Title DELF A1 (Introductory Level/Discovery)
2. Course introduction DELF A1 highlights the first knowledge in French language. DELF A1 recognizes basic knowledge.  It is the most basic level at which a language is used, called the “discovery” stage. At this stage, the learner can interact in a simple way: he/she can speak about him/herself and his/her immediate environment.
3. Course Outcome Reading

  • Can recognize familiar words, very simple sentences, for example on notices and posters or in catalogs


  • One can understand familiar words and very basic phrases concerning yourself, your family and immediate concrete surroundings when people speak slowly and clearly


·         Can use simple phrases and sentences to describe yourself, place of residence and the people you know

·         Can interact in a simple way provided the other person is prepared to repeat or rephrase more slowly and help formulate what he/she is trying to say

·         Can ask simple questions on familiar topics or matters


·         Can write a short, simple postcard for example: holiday

·         Can fill form with personal details, for example entering your name, nationality and address on a hotel registration form.

6. Exam schedule Generally, DELF exams are conducted four times in a year, i.e., March, June, September, and December.
